During my 28-year career as a business owner in the construction industry, I successfully hired and trained over 500 employees. The positions filled included managers, salespeople, warehouse personnel, custom fabricators, installers, drivers, bookkeepers and administrative staff.
Upon the sale of my business in 2017 to a Fortune 500 company, I was asked by the CEO if there was anything that I never completed. I told him there was one thing, a basic skills test to enhance and improve the hiring process for our industry.
For the last two years, I have completed this unfinished business and developed a software package to assist employers in easily determining which candidates are best for the job and merit a face-to-face interview.
It is my belief that employers who use my package will realize significant time savings in the employee selection process and a better quality workforce.
